Ladies Monarch Tagging Huron Flatts

Join the Des Moines County Conservation Ladies Adventure Group for a morning of monarch butterfly tagging at Huron Flatts. Tuesday, September 16th, 2025. Van departs from Starr’s Cave at 9:30 AM and returns at 12:30 PM
Come enjoy the outdoors, learn about monarch conservation, and be part of an unforgettable experience.

We suggest bringing the following items:
Sunscreen
Bug spray
Closed-toed shoes (No flip-flops, please)
A refillable water bottle
Long pants are recommended – we may be near areas with poison ivy, itchy weeds, and tall grass
Any necessary medical items, such as an EpiPen or inhaler

This is a free event, but van space is limited to 12 participants, so be sure to preregister. Open to women 18 and older.

Note:

We will all meet at Starr's Cave Nature Center and ride in van or carpool out there.
