Programs
On Saturday, January 24th, the annual Eagle Watch program, hosted by Des Moines County Conservation, will take place. This event will begin at the Port of Burlington at 10:00 AM with an updated eagle presentation from last year. After the presentation, please join us to observe real, live eagles and learn new facts. Participants will drive their own vehicles to Lock and Dam 18, a scenic viewing location about 15 minutes away. Participants are encouraged to bring binoculars, though a limited number will be available to borrow. The program concludes at noon.
This program is free and open to all ages. Registration is encouraged but not necessary.
Please dress for the weather and look at the Starr’s Cave Nature Center Facebook page for event changes and cancellations, or call Starr’s Cave Nature Center at (319)753-5808.
